Obituary

Adalynn Rae Chambers, 11 months, of Centralia passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Family and friends are invited to Adalynn's Life Celebration service at 4:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia with burial to follow in the Centralia City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

Adalynn was born on July 11, 2025, and from the moment she entered this world, she brought a joy that words could never fully describe. Though her time with us was far too short, her life was filled with immeasurable love, and she forever changed the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Adalynn is survived by her parents, Timothy and Maekayla (Cox) Chambers; her siblings, Cameron Chambers, Noble Miller, Kayden Chambers, Karaline Chambers, Atlas Miller; grandparents, Larry and Gina Cox, James Chambers, Pamela Chambers; great-grandparents, Virginia Brown, Gleva and Virgil Cox, James Tolbert; aunts and uncles, Osson Cox (Brittaney), Jase Cox (Elyse), Jackson Cox, Aaron Chambers, and many cousins.

Adalynn was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, William Brown, and great-grandmother, Gail Tolbert.

Adalynn had the most beautiful long eyelashes, sparkling blue eyes, and a smile that could light up any room. She loved music, and it always seemed to bring her comfort and happiness. She had a sweet, silly spirit that made everyone smile. Her cousin Ella lovingly called her a "Goofy Goober," a nickname that fit her perfectly because she brought laughter and joy wherever she went.

To know Adalynn was to experience a love that was pure and unconditional. She taught us to treasure every moment, to celebrate the little things, and to find hope even in life's deepest valleys. Though she was only here for a short time, her life carried an eternal purpose, reminding so many of the preciousness of every breath and the faithfulness of God through both joy and sorrow.

While our hearts ache beyond words, we find peace in knowing that Adalynn is no longer hurting. She is whole, healed, and in the presence of Jesus. We can only imagine her running freely, hearing every song, laughing without pain, and experiencing the perfect love of her Savior. We also find comfort in picturing Papa Willie waiting to welcome her with open arms. Just as he adored and spoiled her mama, we know he is showering his precious great-granddaughter with that same love until the day we are together again.

Although we will miss her every single day, we do not grieve without hope. Because of our faith in Jesus Christ, we know this goodbye is not forever. One glorious day, we will see our beautiful blue-eyed girl again, and what a reunion that will be.

Until that day, we will carry her in our hearts, hear her in every song, see her in every sunset, and remember the little girl whose smile lit up the world.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our daughter.

"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me... for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'" — Matthew 19:14
