Alan Dale Gooding, 66, of Hallsville died Monday, July 19, 2021 at his home.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia.

A private burial will take place in Red Top Cemetery in Hallsville.

Dale was born on May 23, 1955 in Mexico, the son of Ezra Wesley and Mary (Cook) Gooding.

Dale attended Hallsville elementary schools and was a 1973 graduate of Hallsville High School. After graduating high school, Dale was employed as an Accounting Clerk at the University of Missouri until 1980.

Since 1990, Dale lived on the family farm where he was raised. Dale was a Boone County native, living his entire life in Boone County.

Dale is survived by his siblings, David Gooding of Hallsville, Doris Harlow and husband Charles of Hallsville, Hazel Keel and husband Scott of Columbia; nieces, Amy Hempen and husband Kevin of Hallsville, Elizabeth Craig and husband Chad of Columbia, Melissa Braun and husband Karl of Valparaiso, IN; nephews, Eric Gooding and wife Janet of Sturgeon, Wesley Harlow of Hallsville, Matthew Keel of Columbia.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Wayne Gooding, and a nephew, Michael Gooding.

Dale enjoyed refinishing furniture, playing and watching sports, and he was an entrepreneur of collectables.
