Dennis Garrel Rackley, 74 of Hallsville passed away Sunday, December 29. 2024 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday January 3, 2025, at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia with burial to follow in the Centralia City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Dennis was born on August 27, 1950, the son of Daniel and Viola (Herren) Rackley.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Tonya Rackley of Texas; Siblings, Donna Sue Hibbs, Ronnie Rackley, Karen Stone (Donald), Daniel Rackley (Marcia) all of Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Shirley Westrup, sister-in-law, Cathy Rackley, a brother-in-law, Ray Hibbs.

Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, cars, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Dennis liked to cook, while cooking he enjoyed experimenting and inventing new dishes, mainly desserts.

He was always willing to help anyone, a truly good, honest and authentic person, Dennis loved his family most of all and cherished the time he spent with them, whether it was the family fish fry, or the Monday meals at his parents' house, where he would always provide the meat, Dennis cared deeply for his family. He was a loving father to Tonya.

Dennis was a hard worker all his life, including his time as a manager for Major Brands Distributors.
