Jay Curtis Bell, 60 of Thompson, died Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the University Hospital in Columbia.

Jay's Life Celebration service will be held 6:00 PM Sunday October 13, 2019 at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Jay was born on February 20, 1959 the son of William and Darlene (Sublette) Bell.

Jay is survived by his children, Josh Bell of Centralia, Jessica Bell of Columbia, Jake Bell of Centralia; his mother, Darlene Bell of Thompson, brothers, Rodney Bell of Kansas City, MO, Monty Bell of Thompson, sister, Melody Kempker (Wayne) of Thompson; mother of his children, Robin Bell, several nephews.

Jay was preceded in by his father, two brothers, K. Drew and W. Wade Bell; a brother-in-law, Gary Harper.

Jay loved working in his garden, and was an amazing gardener. He had quite the green thumb and could grow anything from tomatoes to pineapple.

Jay loved fishing, Mizzou football, music, and cooking (especially biscuits and gravy). He was an accomplished builder, and did beautiful woodworking.

Jay enjoyed having a good time and was fun to be around.
