Jean Ridings Shaw, 78, of Centralia, MO, passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Jean was born on May 18, 1948, in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William and Mary (Cresson) Collenberg.

Jean graduated from Bethany College and spent many years working in a biology lab at the University of Pennsylvania before deciding to be a full-time wife and mother. Jean enjoyed gardening, needlework, baking, bird watching, raising waterfowl, and riding horses.

Jean married Daniel Shaw on June 30, 1984, in Swarthmore, PA, and he survives of the home.

Along with her husband, Daniel, Jean is survived by her daughter, Mary Shaw and husband Nicholas Tuttle; and brother James Collenberg and wife Margaret.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the University Hospital Adult Patient Assistance Fund at MU Hospital and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home, 104 S. Collier St. Centralia, MO 65240.
