Lonnie Dale Reeves, 83 of Hallsville, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026 at the Bluffs in Columbia.

There will be a private service held at a later date.

Lonnie was born on February 24, 1943 in Harrisburg the son of Ernest Arthur and Ila Mae (Roberts) Reeves.

Lonnie graduated in 1961 from Centralia High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force.

After returning home from the service, he married Lois Edwards on August 16, 1969, and they were blessed with 57 years of marriage.

Along with his wife Lois, Lonnie is survived by his son Brian Reeves, and daughter, Heather Reeves; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Wise (Doral), Carol Burton, brother-in-law, Richard Edwards (Shawn); many nieces and nephews.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Charles Reeves, Faye Spires, Shirley Gilmore, Jean Moon, Larry Reeves, Nelda Bosch, and Yvetta Bohlen.

Lonnie served as a Deacon at New Hope Church, and Hallsville Baptist Church.

He enjoyed watching sports, especially when his children and nieces and nephews played. Lonnie coached Little League and helped with the youth at the churches.
