Lorene Grace Barnes, 83 of Mexico passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Caring Hearts and Hands Hospice House in Columbia.

Family and friends are invited to Lorene's Life Celebration at 10:00 AM Thursday June 11, 2026, at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia with burial to follow at the Centralia City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10 at the funeral home.

Lorene was born on August 25, 1942, in Centralia, the daughter of Nelson and Florence (Ball) Alexander.

She was a graduate of Centralia Schools. Lorene worked for A.B. Chance Company for many years until her retirement.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and especially fishing.

Lorene is survived by her husband Ronnie Barnes, sons, Roger Goosey (Jeanette) of Mexico, Kirk Goosey of Okeechobee, FL, stepchildren, Brenda Barnes of Mexico, Larry Barnes (Theresa Tainter) of Centralia, Frank Barnes (Jane) of Benton City, Billy Barnes (Gerri) of Centralia; brother, Merville Alexander; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Millard Goosey, brother, Archie Alexander and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and family members.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Caring Hearts and Hands Hospice House in Columbia and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home 104 S. Collier St. Centralia, MO 65240.
