Mary Edith Roddy, 80 of Centralia died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Parkside Manor in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Fenton Funeral Chapel in Centralia with burial to follow in the Central Grove Methodist Cemetery in Warrenton.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral chapel.

Mary was born on May 31, 1938 in Mexico, the daughter of Leonard and Frances (Carrico) Wheat.

Mary is survived by her children, Dorothea Hutsel and husband Ron of Mexico, Don Roddy, Jr. and wife Pam of Columbia, Frank Roddy and wife Barbara of Columbia, Virginia Nichols and husband Ray of Centralia, son-in-law, Danny Swiney of Centralia; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Swiney, and her siblings, LeRoy Wheat, Eleanor "Pat" Long, Sterling Wheat.

Mary worked in food service at the University of Missouri for 35 years. Mary enjoyed puzzles, reading, and crocheting.
