Myrtle Irene Lorton, 91 of Centralia died Friday, February 21, 2020 at her daughter and son-in-law's home in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM -12:00PM, Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia, MO.  This will be followed immediately with graveside services at 1:00 PM at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly.

Myrtle was born on April 1, 1928 in Moberly, MO the daughter of William Henry and Venia Frances (Lucas) Lucas.

Myrtle married Chester Lorton April 1, 1947; he preceded her in death on June 22, 1994.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Schneider of Dallas, TX, Patty Ann Hinten of Hallsville, MO, and Barbara Louise Lorton of San Antonio, TX, and a son Vernon Eugene Lorton of Centralia, MO; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with her husband, Myrtle was preceded in death by her daughter, Becky Irene Bailey, her parents, and her brother, James Richard Lucas

She worked at Boone Hospital Center, Heritage Hall and a greeter at McDonalds.

She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.
