Nancy Eileen Mathews, 60, of Thompson passed away Friday, September 25, 2026.

Family and friends are invited to Nancy’s Life Celebration at 11:00 AM Friday, October 9, 2026 at the Sunnydale Seventh Day Adventist Church in Centralia, with burial to follow in the Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday at the church.

Nancy was born on June 28, 1966 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Jari) Barker.

On September 15, 2007, Nancy married Darrin Mathews and he survives.

Along with her husband, Darrin, Nancy is survived by her son, Kyle Barker, step-sons, Caleb Mathews (Shannon), Dillion Mathews (Brooke),Dakota Mathews, and Wyatt Mathews (Allison); grandchildren, McKenzie Mathews, Tanner Mathews, Daykin Mathews and Raylin Mathews; sister, Cindy Hyland (Brad); many loving family members and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Carol Ousley.

Nancy was a kind and compassionate soul, caring for her family and community. She enjoyed her time donating and volunteering at the Adventist Community Service Center, playing board games, spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Nancy was a gifted shopper, always getting the great finds at garage sales, or amazing discounts at stores, she used those talents to bless others. Nancy loved her dogs and had a great admiration for horses.
