Richard Arthur Buechler (Rich), age 88 of Collegedale, TN died Tuesday afternooon, May 8, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Collegedale, TN.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM Tuesday, May 15 at Fenton Funeral Chapel.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Fenton Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Centralia City Cemetery.

Rich was born November 20, 1929 in St. Louis, MO, son of Phillip and Mildred Buechler (nee Braun).

On June 22, 1957 in St. Louis, Rich married M. Sue Buechler who preceded him in death on March 15, 2013.

Rich is survived by a son, Craig Buechler and wife Tessa, of Chattanooga, TN; grandsons, Adam and Alex Buechler of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Sandy O'Brock and husband Butch of Edwardsville, IL; brother, Brad Buechler and wife Stephanie of Chesterfield, MO.

Along with his wife Sue, Rich was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Ronald Arthur Buechler, a son, Eric Todd Buechler; a sister, Phyllis Stovall.

Rich was a graduate of the University of Missouri; he loved baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, and really enjoyed bowling and tennis. Rich moved to Centralia from St. Louis and worked at A.B. Chance for many years until his retirement.
