Richard Eugene Hamilton, 82, of Hallsville died Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his home.

Graveside services will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Hallsville Church of Christ Cemetery in Hallsville with Pastor Mark White officiating.

To those attending the service, we ask that you wear a face mask, and maintain social distancing. Be aware that capacity and seating may be limited. We will follow guidelines set forth by Boone County.

Richard was born on July 7, 1938 in St. Louis, the son of Joseph G. and Lois V. (Lynn) Hamilton.

Richard was graduate of Centralia High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia.

On August 7, 1965 in Centralia, Richard married Marilyn Alexander and she survives of the home.

Along with his wife Marilyn, Richard is survived by daughter, Teresa Seidel and husband Mark of Clark, son, Mike Hamilton of Hallsville, son, Jason Hamilton and wife Leanna of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Emily Seidel, Ryan Seidel, Garrett Hamilton, Riley Hamilton, Carter Hamilton, Katelin Hamilton, Abby Hamilton; siblings, Gilbert Hamilton, and wife Margie, and Anna Farfan.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Betty Wilcockson, and Mary Alexander.

Richard was a member of the Church of Christ.

While he cheered for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Missouri Tigers, he mostly loved to brag about his children and grandchildren and their accomplishments.
