Viola Mae Erisman, 97 of Centralia passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at South Hampton Place in Columbia.

There will be no services. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Viola was born on April 26, 1929, in Jonesburg, MO, the daughter of Charles and Odell (Rodgers) Linke.

On May 7, 1949, she married Harold Erisman. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1991.

Viola taught school before her marriage, then farmed with her husband, first in Jonesburg and later in Centralia. She did everything from the pig chores to running the combine.

Viola is survived by her son, Richard (Bea), daughter, Mary (Bill), six grandchildren, Erin, Kevin, Brent, Kristi, Sarah, and Ben; 10 great-grandchildren, Lance, Grant, Rebecca, Nate, Declan, Tess, Spencer, Matthew, Gabrielle, and Alice.

Along with her husband, Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Raymond, a daughter, Genevieve and a grandson, Everett.
